Pray for those people 3 times a day and invite them to church. This is a challenge to step outside our comfort zone and proactively share the gospel of Jesus Christ and the church community with our sphere of influence.Comments[0] |

Figuring out the balance between productivity and purpose seems to be
one of the biggest hurdles we face.Fortunately there is hope for finding that balance that ultimately leads us to finding our significance. This week Stan Thomas joins us as we study the book of Ephesians and see how the first century followers of Jesus found hope for their lives in the context of the city. Thu, 27 December 2007 During this Christmas season we will be looking at the four main
sections of the angel's announcement to the shepherds. Each week will
highlight a different aspect of God's character that is revealed in the
incarnation of Jesus. C.S. Lewis called the incarnation "God's Invasion
of Enemy Occupied Territory". This is a bit different than the normal
"Jack Frost nipping at your nose" view of Christmas. Something dramatic
and world changing happened when Christ was born.Direct download: The_Promise_of_God__PEACE__How_peace_gave_YOU_a_chance_.mp3 Category: podcasts -- posted at: 12:57 PM Comments[0] |

Mon, 13 August 2007 This week will be the last stop in our series of Jesus on the Subway. We are half way through the book of John and are going to take the fall to highlight some specific aspects of being a Christ follower. Stay tuned in several months for the continuation of our journey through the Gospel of John. Our appropriate stopping point is the reality of Jesus yesterday, today, and forever. The Great I AM.Comments[0] |
Mon, 23 July 2007 This past week in our Gatherings we looked at the question, "What defines you?" This Sunday we are going ask the question "What defines us?" When someone thinks of The Gallery Church, what will they think of? In John 8:12-30 we see that many people were trying to put Jesus into a corner by getting Him to prove Himself. Again, as He always does, He had an amazing answer for their inquiry. Join us this week as we continue Jesus on the Subway with "What defines us?"

Mon, 16 July 2007 What defines you? Is it your greatest achievement or your worst moment of failure? What are those things that keep you up at night? What do you hope no one finds out about? These questions can plague our conscience or stress our minds. Enter grace. Jesus reveals how in a moment grace can heal the broken and break the proud. Come and hear His transforming words.Comments[0] |

Mon, 25 June 2007 Jesus stirred up quite a bit of enthusiasm and controversy during His three year public ministry. At some moments He was beloved for His phenomenal miracles and at others He was nearly abandoned because of the message He spoke. When we draw near to the real Jesus we must confront
the cost of following such a radical man. The cost is great but the reward is infinite.

Tue, 19 June 2007 In this series we are looking at Jesus as the essential part of our everyday
life. If we could have a one on one conversation with Jesus during our daily
commute, what types of questions would we ask? Just as food is a favorite
conversation piece for us, in Scripture, Jesus also speaks of food in order
to make a point. Join us this week as we look at how Jesus is the source of
life. You'll be glad you did!Comments[0] |
Tue, 5 June 2007 This week we will look at the significance of a person being baptized. We will look at the important questions that surround this subject. Things such as "who should be baptized" or "when should I get baptized?" We will look at God's purpose and design behind this ancient practice of the church. We will also be celebrating baptism on this week. If you would like to be baptized please contact aaron@gallerychurch.com to get more info.

Mon, 21 May 2007 Making dinner for over 5,000 people is no small task especially when you start from scratch. Seeing justice, healing, transformation and truth come to New York City is also no small task. Yet, when we come with all we have to Jesus we will see amazing results both personally and in our city. He alone can make the simple and scarce to flourish and abound both in our hearts and in our world. The question is do we believe?

Mon, 7 May 2007 One of the biggest myths in the Christian faith is, "God helps those who help themselves." The message and life of Jesus was completely opposite of that; he sought after the sick and the downtrodden and befriended the weak and poor. Find out this Sunday how the God of the helpless can transform us to respond the same way.Comments[0] |
Mon, 30 April 2007 When Jesus touches our lives, we have to respond. When we follow Him we are going to care about the things he cares about and we are going to love the things that he loves. Apathy should not be an option for a Christian. This week we will see what it would look like if the CHURCH would unify itself behind stamping out the HIV/AIDS pandemic that plagues the world.Direct download: Going_to_Church_or_Being_the_CHURCH__A_Unified_Response_to_an_Epidemic.mp3 Category: podcasts -- posted at: 12:39 PM Comments[0] |
Mon, 23 April 2007 Perhaps the most famous prayer in the world containsthese familiar lines, "Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." But what does that look like? How does that happen? It will not be easy. It will require breaking through barriers of race, gender, status, comfort, and culture to love as Jesus loved. Yet, in our Savior's example we see how to do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with our God. We see a heavenly brand of Sacred Activism. Mon, 2 April 2007 Transformation. It usually takes us a while to transform things. If we are going to remodel a house, it will take several weeks. If we are going to restore an antique car, it could take months or maybe even years. This week we will see that when Jesus transforms something, it happens in an instant and the transformation is long-lasting.Comments[0] |
Mon, 26 March 2007 Not many things make us feel as helpless and frustrated as being totally lost. With no clue which direction to go, we often are paralyzed by fear or unanswered questions. A map is helpful, but a guide to show us the way is even better. The complete life is not a list of rights and lefts. It is learning to love the guide. Mon, 19 March 2007 None of us like to be confused about an issue in our life or be "kept in the dark about it. An idea, a clear thought, a solution is like a light bulb coming on. Light shows things for what they really are. When God came into the world as a man, He came like a light. He showed man both the darkness of our true condition and the eternal heights of possibility. Join us this Sunday as we look at another aspect of The Complete Life.Comments[0] |

Join us at the Gallery Church for our Celebrating Christmas series.
This Christmas we will take time to truly experience the season as we
celebrate the light, love, and mystery of Christmas.
During this series we explore some of the most raw emotions
found in the Psalms. The Psalms remind us that we're not crazy when we
feel these intense emotions and they help us to know what exactly to do
with them. Let's continue growing together as we learn all that God is
for us

Living in the city has all sorts of challenges associated with it.
Figuring out the balance between productivity and purpose seems to be
one of the biggest hurdles we face.
In this audio clip Aaron presents the Gallery Church with a challenge. Identify 3 people in your life who don't know Jesus or are disconnected from the church. Pray for those people 3 times a day and invite them to church. This is a challenge to step outside our comfort zone and proactively share the gospel of Jesus Christ and the church community with our sphere of influence.
In everyone's journey toward or in faith, there will be
questions-questions that lead us to decide whether or not our faith can
mesh with all of the other aspects of life. Starting on Sunday May 4th,
we are going to look at the questions that oftentimes arise as barriers
to Christianity. As we wrestle with each topic, we will seek to gain
answers and understanding.
Join us at the Gallery Church for the final week of our Thread teaching series, as we discover the common thread the holds us together and reconnect
the fabric of our lives.
At the heart of the Church you should find Jesus. Unfortunately this is
not always the case. The Church has a tendency to place traditions and
agendas over and above its core. Join us for the next two weeks as we
take a look at the core of The Gallery Church, Jesus. We will focus on
two celebrations that the church observes, Baptism and Lord's Supper,
to draw us back to what it means to be a follower of Jesus.
This series is designed to explore biblical perspective on
relationships and sex. Designed by God and redefined by culture, the
ideas of relationships and sex have become skewed and misrepresented.
We will explore what it takes to grow healthy relationships and address
the spiritual and physical dynamics of human sexuality. Join us as we
aim to address the confusion and provide clarity and purpose to God's intention for sex and relationships.
Join us as we look at some of the miracles
that God reportedly performed in the Bible. We will look at questions
like:
During the first two weeks in January we will be looking back and
projecting forward. Join us as we reflect on the past year of the
Gallery Church to celebrate all that God has done and look ahead to the
new year to focus on the direction that God has for His church
During this Christmas season we will be looking at the four main
sections of the angel's announcement to the shepherds. Each week will
highlight a different aspect of God's character that is revealed in the
incarnation of Jesus. C.S. Lewis called the incarnation "God's Invasion
of Enemy Occupied Territory". This is a bit different than the normal
"Jack Frost nipping at your nose" view of Christmas. Something dramatic
and world changing happened when Christ was born.
CITY UPRISING
Join us over the following weeks for a new teaching series called A
City Uprising. We will seek to understand how God has uniquely gifted
each of us—specifically to work, live and make a difference in this
amazing city.
Did you know the Bible has quite a bit to say about money and its much more than just coughing up cash for an offering plate. It's actually a path to greater freedom. All first-time guests will receive a copy of the
New York Times Best-Selling Author, Dave Ramsey's book, Total Money Makeover. Join us September 9 - September 30 as we take a practical look at how to Master My Money... it's going to be priceless.
Sept. 9 - The Art of Giving and Receiving

Where did church come from? In our current series called Chapter 2 we will look at Acts 2:42-47 from four different perspectives: The Prelude, Position, Purpose & Passion of the church. Where did the church get its start? Why did it start? What is the soul of the church? We will look at its defining characteristics and ask ourselves if we remain true to its mission today. You don’t want to miss this study of Acts Chapter 2 when we kick it old school in search of the original, authentic church.
This week will be the last stop in our series of Jesus on the Subway. We are half way through the book of John and are going to take the fall to highlight some specific aspects of being a Christ follower. Stay tuned in several months for the continuation of our journey through the Gospel of John. Our appropriate stopping point is the reality of Jesus yesterday, today, and forever. The Great I AM.
Jesus stirred up quite a bit of enthusiasm and controversy during His three year public ministry. At some moments He was beloved for His phenomenal miracles and at others He was nearly abandoned because of the message He spoke. When we draw near to the real Jesus we must confront
the cost of following such a radical man. The cost is great but the reward is infinite.
This week we will look at the significance of a person being baptized.
Aaron updates the regular attendees on where we are and where we hope to go as a church. In this podcast, you can hear the progress that we have made together as a church and ways you can continue to be involved.
We have all asked the question...what happens after life? This week we will take a look at this question from the perspective of the Gospel of John. The answer is sure to amaze and give you hope.
Not many things make us feel as helpless and frustrated as being totally lost. With no clue which direction to go, we often are paralyzed by fear or unanswered questions. A map is helpful, but a guide to show us the way is even better.
None of us like to be confused about an issue in our life or be "kept in the dark about it. An idea, a clear thought, a solution is like a light bulb coming on. Light shows things for what they really are. When God came into the world as a man, He came like a light. He showed man both the darkness of our true condition and the eternal heights of possibility. Join us this Sunday as we look at another aspect of The Complete Life.
Life is full of difficulty. When we allow difficult
Don't you just love it when you see an old couple walking hand in hand? That is worth celebrating! What are the characteristics of that type of life-long love? Whether you are single or have been married for many years, it is never too late to begin practicing the Godly and loving treatment toward others that will lead toward a lifetime of commitment to one person.
In this message, Aaron cast the vision for the Gallery Church in 2007.
